Chicagoland Black-Owned Brewery Tappings!

Chicago is home to some of the few Black-owned breweries in the U.S. And while you’ll regularly be able to find them on our shelves and on the draft lines here, Black History Month is a great time to throw some light on these great guys and talented brewers!

So at open, we’ll be tapping Black Horizon’s Chicken Fried Punk, a big juice-y Double IPA hopped with super fresh Mosaic and Citra hops for a wonderful tropical fruit presence with bright citrus elements. This big IPA isn’t overly bitter so it has a super smooth and approachable flavor that makes it a sneaky sipper!

We’ll also have Funkytown’s Woo-Wap-Da-Bam on tap, which is their amber ale with notes of toffee, bread crust, banana, and a hint of peach beg you to sip it all day.

Finally, for someone looking for a little more ABV, Moor’s Imperial Porter is a rich, textured beer with a hoppy nose complimented by the scent of lavender and blueberry. The palate brings home the flavors of roasted chocolate and ground coffee.
