Willett Barrel-Aged Stout Tappings

We have some fun barrel-aged stouts with something in common…all came from Willett Distilling Barrels! On February 23rd at 5 p.m. we’re going to tap three of them at the same time. Each beer has different adjuncts, and each one was aged in different Willett barrels.

On tap:

Foreign Exchange and Solemn Oath’s collaboration beer, Scroll & the Lamb, only had a couple of kegs released. This beer was aged in 12-month Willett Family Estate Rye Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout with hand-toasted coconut, cocoa nibs, and Madagascar vanilla.

3 Floyd’s Blot Out the Sun spent over a year in Willett bourbon barrels, this massive Imperial Stout extinguishes all light with notes of chocolate, molasses, and brown sugar and whiskey notes from the extended barrel aging.

Lagunitas brews Willettized Coffee Stout each year, and this is the 2022 version. It’s brewed using every highly-roasted malt we could get our hands on and coffee from Chicago’s-own Metropolis coffee. Aged in Bourbon & Rye barrels from Willett Distillery.
