Orange & Brew House Rules

Occasionally, you will meet people that make your life better. At Orange & Brew, those people are called Beertenders. They’re here to help all our guests have a pleasant experience.

Since hospitality is our priority, please don’t be offended if we occasionally need to remind guests of our house rules below. And if there’s anything our staff can do to help you have an enjoyable time, short of an extended “last call”, please ask. Thanks for your respect of their efforts in creating a welcoming space for all!

For everyone’s enjoyment, thanks for following our house rules:

  • BE COOL!
  • Treat all guests and staff with kindness.
  • Be positive and good sports -– even to Michigan fans.
  • Be responsible – drink responsibly, know your limits, and respect our furniture.
  • Please keep all personal belongings, food, and children at your table. Anything not at your table is fair game for our staff to rummage through or eat. Staff will not take your children, however, even as much as you may want them to.
  • Food and snacks are always welcome, especially when you share with our staff. Please be considerate and tidy up afterwards. Accidents do happen, so please let staff know if they can be of assistance.
  • In a totally serious note, we have a zero-tolerance policy for harassment. Unwanted behavior of any kind will result in immediate removal.
  • If you witness or experience any issues above, please report to staff immediately.
  • Any tabs left open will be subject to a 20% gratuity.
  • Reminder that the printed paper menus may not always be 100% accurate, especially when you’re kicking our kegs quickly. Untappd menu online is almost always accurate.
  • When in doubt, see first rule.

Guests with Children – We love kids! Many of our Beertenders have kids! But for the comfort of all our guests:

  • Children should be accompanied by an adult at all times. Remember this is for their safety, other guests, and our staff who may be carrying glassware. Please do not use the floor as a play area.
  • Please understand we have an 8 p.m. curfew for children indoors.
  • During special events please understand table space is limited and we need to accommodate all guests fairly.
  • If your children play pinball, please accompany them and ensure they use the machines responsibly. The machines are delicate and any rough play or banging on glass will result in a “game over”.
  • We offer board games for your enjoyment. When you’re finished playing, please return the games to their shelf along with all their pieces. Yes, we do realize Battleship pegs and Sorry pieces find their way to the ground often without your knowledge. We get it!
  • To ensure everyone’s safety and enjoyment, no running or yelling, except when the Illini score.
  • We appreciate your understanding if your children become restless and may need to leave. Even our owners get restless and need to leave occasionally!
