It’s not just another game! On Sunday, the Illini women hoopers take on Maryland in the annual “Play4Kay” game.
Game’s on TV, so it’s going to be on in the shop. Come support the women’s team with your fellow fans before you watch the Big Game later!
Making this afternoon more important…yes, we’ll do our normal buck off all drafts for you during the game. BUT, we’re also going to GIVE a buck from every beer you drink to this cause, plus 5% of all to-go sales. So, it’s a win-win! All regular-sized drafts, cans of beer, cider, or seltzer, and glasses of wine for on-premise will count for the discount and donation! And if you need to stock up for your football parties, come in and grab your beer knowing every dollar you spend will trigger a portion back to Play4Kay.
Play4Kay was founded through the vision of former college women’s basketball coach Kay Yow. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1987, and passed away in 2009 after her battle. Her hope was to inspire others to make a difference in a fight that impacts all of us. Through support of Play4Kay, the Fund awards grants towards life-saving cancer research and quality cancer healthcare for underserved women.
